Southampton 1-0 Tottenham – Jose Mourinho FULL Post Match Press Conference – I Was Rude To An IDIOT!

You showed a lot of fight in the second half
but maybe lacked a bit of quality in the finish… “The game was not easy, the second half not
easy. They were winning and they were defending basically with 10 players, fighting hard,
being aggressive, a good aggressive not a bad aggressive. There were lots of fouls and
stoppages. The ball-boys were well coached in the delaying of the game and there was
not much play. When we lose out target man Harry Kane we know the part of the game where
we are normally more dominant is gone. We played the last 15 minutes of the game plus
extra time without a recognised striker and that made it even more difficult.” Is the news on Harry Kane positive or negative? “I think it’s negative. For Harry to come
out is negative. Hamstring is always a negative. Is it a tear? Is it a small thing? Is it a
spasm? Is it a contraction? In this moment I cannot say.” And a very tight offside… “For me the referees are not the referees.
I think the VAR should change their name because Video Assistant Referee is not true. It should
be VR – Video Referee – because they are the referees. It is strange. You see the referees
on pitch and they not the referees, they are the assistants. The other guys in the office
are the ones who make the big decisions of the game. In relation to the offsides, for
example in the past three weeks we had Harry Kane’s goal against Brighton disallowed
for offside by I don’t know what margin. Then Norwich had one ruled out against us.
I don’t know what half an inch that was. Then today, our goal I also don’t know, but
this one I confess I haven’t watched yet. What I know is the Dele Alli penalty is a
penalty and the VAR didn’t interfere. Then they interfered in the analyse of a penalty
that from 75 yards away I knew was not a penalty. It was the Harry Kane shot with the rebound
when McCarthy comes with Dele on the second ball, from 75 yards away I knew it wasn’t
a penalty. I think they gave the VAR analyse to try to make us blind about the penalty
that was a penalty. They decide not even to analyse on the VAR. This is going in a very
bad direction, sometimes in our favour like at Norwich, sometimes against us. But the
direction it is taking us in is really really wrong and I think the first step should be
to change the name from VAR to VR.” Can I just ask you about your yellow card
as it was said you approached the Southampton bench? “I think the yellow card was fair because
I was rude. But I was rude to an idiot. And for some reason I was rude, but I was. And
because I was rude I deserved the yellow card.” There was some suggestion on the internet
that you were trying to look at their notes? “What?” Is there any update on how Tanguy is? “No. He is always injured. He’s injured,
he’s not injured, he plays one match, next week he’s injured again, he then plays another
match…We are full of hopes but this has been since the beginning of the season.” Is it a concern? “Of course it’s a concern. You think you have
a player and he is in the evolution process. He plays very well at Norwich and we were
full of hope that today he would be ready for this. And he wasn’t. I cannot say much
more than that because it is a situation that comes from the beginning of the season.” You’ve now lost two players injured today,
is that a problem because of four games in a week? “We had a big problem with Son being suspended
in this period 26th, 28th and 1st of January, three matches without Son was a problem for
us. Now Son is back Harry Kane is out but that’s the way it is. We have to try to
cope the best we can.”

I swear this media just want to messed up the mind of the player which is already damaged by the last chamipon league. I mean how no one can see this that Mourinho win three trophies with that shitty man united team. u want a prove check at their stats now even they bought cb and rb still cant compete for top 4 spots and imagine Mourinho gave them three trophies . We need to understand a code of Mourinho , which is winning trophies no matter everywhere he goes, the problem is the players we need to start blaming the players not the manager , his job is to protect the players and thats what he is doing.. but we have brains and eyes we knows the players doesnt want to perform at their highest level and not sacrifing enough to win the matches. Just look at the goals conceded till now all of them are ridicilous goals , i know we need cb and i m pretty sure levy is not gonna back the manager like he did with poch. but conceding goals like that is a assurance the players doesnt want to perform or win or sacrifice . we should be the one to get angry at these players and stop treating them like the best players if they performed well in one match or two . Todays football is more competetive than the past , so if we need to be the big team we have treat every match like that this the final match of champions league. The best players are those who performs at every match and gives everything to win every match. Our players have the po tential to be one of the europe best team but if they start treating every match as a win one. Like roy keane said I just can't tolerate footballers who hide behind their agents, their pals in the media' he aslo accused the players at Old Trafford of throwing Jose Mourinho β€œunder the bus”

The EPL is now very competitive so it is difficult to win every week. I just checked & since Mourinho has been in charge of Tottenham only Liverpool, Leicester City have gained more points than Tottenham.

Chelsea, MU, Wolves, Sheffield United all have earned fewer points. So calm down everyone. He has not performed that bad with a poor squad that never won an away game in 2019 before him.

But he has a big challenge ahead of him with a poor squad & not much funds to buy in the market.

Here are the points since November 23rd.

    1. Leicester City: 20.
    2. Liverpool: 18.
    3. MC & Tottenham: 16.
    4. MU: 15.
    6. Wolves: 14.
    7. Sheffield United: 12.
    8. Chelsea: 10.

Bear in mind that other coaches have been with the same club at least the whole season or more.

I think they will not allow VAR function properly. They will make it controversial and then reject it by saying it’s not working. This way they will go back to their old system.

What he said about VAR is actually right. VAR is supposed to help the referees in having better clarity on some situations and fouls so that they can make better decisions, but now it seems like VAR is making decision for the referee and sometime making some strange decisions in certain of the fixtures..

The worrying thing is that Var acts as if it is the authoritative voice when I am not sure they are sure of their decisions. Is it science or art when drawing the lines to check offsides? If the technology is indisputable, then I must say for modern computational power, it's more like snail mail!

There is so much negativity with Mourinho and I understand that, but lets not deny the fact that he's done well enough so far to get them out from the bottom of the table. Even if he loses his job earlier (hopefully not lose it anytime soon) than expected it's not like Poch was doing any better after they lost the UCL final last year he said he would have left if they won. In my opinion, that basically tells the players he doesn't want to be there anymore and it's tough as a player to stay motivated for that. These days, you need the team heirachy backing to buy players and improve the squad because Spurs have all sorts strengthing to do on the defensive side. We should also make note that Mourinho has more trophies than some managers and even teams in the PL right now. At the end of the day, it comes down to the board backing Mourinho if he wants to improve the squad. Look at Man U when he was there he wanted to get Harry McGuire but "no" was the answer and then Ole comes then he gets him at a more expensive price than Mourinho would have paid at the time haha.

Mourinho usually did best during his first and second. After that things start to decline. He has already shown his character. If spurs loses again, he might start changing how the squad play and "park the bus" to get results. But usually it doenst last long as players will eventually get "bored" and frustrated and that when he starts to have conflict with the team.

We all know that Mourinho is not going to make a miracle over night , we all know how bad tottenham is defensively and that started long ago . Mourinho came in in order to achieve the 4thplace in the premier league. He surely has a lot of work out in this squad but don't blame him for this and for that …many of you hate him because he still is one of the most successful managers on earth!!!

A Good win to Southampton, they were hungry for it. Spurs weren`t. Tottenham were lethargic n not interested…The Worst of seen them under Mourinho.

Speaking of The Special One…He can justify n make excuses, that his dummy spit was because he was dealing with an idiot…he is still responsible for his own behavior n with true change, you own your stuff n put your hand up if you mess up n Mourinho isn`t even doing that.

So it`s clear to me that there is no real change with the special one n I go back to what I said 6 weeks ago…that rubbish didn`t wash when he was at Man U n it won`t wash here at Spurs.

He is already losing Erikson n if or when he loses the dressing room because of his temper n public disrespect n abuse towards his players n others in the football n journalistic arena?

The Special one will lose a lot more players n won`t last long at Tottenham n that`s where I feel it is heading with Spurs n Mourinho after seeing this match.

I said it at his 2nd Chelski stint he would ruin all around him. He did. I called it to the manc supporters that he would be poison at manc utd, and he was. I now say it to you spurs. Get rid! All the great steps you have made under Poch will be washed away like snow off a ditch with this man. It,s all about Jose, nothing else. You missed a real trick with Ancelotti, and you will rue that day.
